local H.ero - Be with me

The first release on the localhereososd blog, back when it only existed on Facebook, was an EP called local H.ero. During the years focus have been more on The Kicker, but new songs have continuously been produced under the local H.ero moniker. And so, here it is, a brand new local H.ero album. Consisting of 18 songs, mostly instrumentals, though some with vocals from mr local H.ero himself and some with prominent rap features. And all this can be yours, for free, just click the link!

Album release

So, finally, the kickers debut album is ready for release. Just a couple of more weeks, and it'll be available for purchase. Here's a sneak peak at the album art and song titles

so bear with me just a little longer!

Ride the coltrane to a love supreme

While waiting for the album to drop, Kicker gives away another mind blowing track. The celebration of lost heroes continues, this time with a track dedicated to the wonderful saxophonist John Coltrane. (And for those of you who know your hiphop, it's a bit of a tribute to Blackstar as well:))

Spring and summer awaits

The blogging has been slow lately, i'm keepin pretty busy these days. Going of on a US tour with swedish Abba-tribute Arrival tomorrow. But before i go, i thought i'd tell you about this new Kicker release. A tribute to the great Charles Mingus, with some nice jazzy organ and a stunning saxophone, give it a listen. And keep you eyes open, a new full length album is to be released featuring The Kicker sometime in the summer of 2012, and it's gonna be something really special!

Sincerely yours/Markus
